The 365 devotions in this book are the result of personal messages author Sarah Young received from God as she listened to God and meditated on Him while sitting quietly in His presence. In the Introduction, the author emphatically states that the “Bible is, of course, the only inerrant word of God; my writings must be consistent with that unchanging standard”.
Each devotion is one or two paragraphs in length, yet contains much food for spiritual comfort, challenge and growth.
Sarah Young has published a companion volume to Jesus Calling entitled Jesus Lives, in which the devotions have topical headings and somewhat longer.
