For such a time as this- Part 2

By Dave Henning / November 16, 2013

Today Charles Stanley discusses his third and final Scriptural principle for escaping the bonds of rejection.

3. Competence through the Holy Spirit.  Dr. Stanley points out that Satan uses rejection to fiercely attack us, trying to make it seem that our trials are insurmountable and our abilities insignificant.  As children of God who have the Holy Spirit living in us, we are equipped and able to do all God has planned for us.  The author concludes:

“In fact, the Lord placed you in this specific environment at this unique time so you could fulfill a very special role in His unfolding plan for the ages.”

Dr. Stanley adds that the best way to counteract rejection is to fix our attention on God, as Jesus instructs in Luke 6: 38- “Give, and it will be given to you.  Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap.  For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”

The more we care for others without expectation of anything in return, the more Jesus pours His love into our hearts.  Jesus will work through us to bring the freedom we have experienced to others.

Today’s question: What ministry opportunities has God provided during your healing journey toward revisioned and revitalized vocation?  Please share.
