Live in the reality of God’s love

“The goal is to walk in, talk in, and live in the reality of God’s love, a love that grounds us and establishes us regardless of the storms we face.”- Susie Larson

As Susie Larson concludes Chapter 4 of Your Powerful Prayers, she stresses that Christ’s all-surpassing love fills us to spilling-over brim.  In the process, we transform from the inside out and dare to boldly come into God’s presence.  And when we pray, we ask Him for the “impossible, unachievable, inconceivable, and unbelievable.”

Thus, Susie notes, to the extent you make personal Jesus’ unending and unrelenting love , you’ll witness Christ’s intended fullness.  And to the extent you take hold of Christ’s divinely intimate and profoundly powerful love, others grasp that love when they encounter you.

Yet, Susie observes, too often we forget we’re God’s children.  The author calls this “heir amnesia.”  As a result, our behavior and performance fuel our joy and perspective.  Therefore, we need to remind our souls of Jesus’ love.  Specifically when we catch ourselves praying and pleading from underneath our circumstances.

In conclusion, Ms. Larson cites author Lisa Whittle.  Writing in I Want God (2015), Lisa explains what makes all this hard stuff worth it.  Lisa states:

” . . . praise be to Him that just about the time we feel helpless, drowning, incapable of making such a proclamation of wanting Him, He blows in with a hopeful, resuscitating wind and . . . rescues us. . . .  And when we’re in those dark places, we want God in big heaps and not small portions, because pain doesn’t ever truly get better without Him.  The more we have of Him, the more we survive and even thrive; the more beauty we extract from life.”

Today’s question: What Bible verses and hymns help you live in the reality of God’s love?  Please share.
